Ancient Bog Oak is the oldest timber on the planet.
Before petrification, timber goes through many stages; dying, falling, and drying. Before this ancient bog oak reached the "drying" stage, it was covered with lichen and moss to blot out the sun/elements and suspend it's return to the earth.
It laid in a bog for around 6,000 years (it's patina is the darkest I've ever seen) and was discovered in the western Czech Republic after WW2.
All timber is sealed in a vacuum with marine grade epoxy to insure utmost strength and durability of a design.
This ring consists of a sandblasted gunmetal dark gray Tungsten Carbide band with an ancient Bog Oak interior.
