Have a Clear Budget in mind
Before you get started with any other planning it is best to decide how much you are willing to spend. Have a think about what is most important to you and what you can’t do without on this important day.
You might decide you don’t need a large affair and indeed you want a small intermate gathering of close friends and family. This could save you a lot of money as you can choose to use those extra savings to splash out on a prettier dress, or that wedding ring you’ve always dreamed of! The upside to having a small guest list is you get more cake too!
Determine the type of Wedding
The type of wedding can help determine how much you save in the long run. This means you likely will stick close to home and you might even opt to use a friend or family member's backyard for the reception and afterparty.
You will be surprised how much you can save by not having to splash out on a venue or transportation. Sure, you might not get to stand on the shore of a tropical island, but a wedding at home can still be just as beautiful. You can grow and dry some flowers and thread them around the place to make it seem less ordinary.
You can choose to go simple or you could go with a classic wedding theme if you didn’t want to be traditional. But keep in mind some wedding themes might cost your day more in the long run and so it might be best to stick with simple themes and keep to your budget.
For the decorations, it is best to be simple and have a clear idea of the theme. With the theme in mind, you take make judgments on how the space for the reception will be decorated.

Choose the Ring Right for you
How to choose the best unique wedding rings.
It goes without saying that even if you are on a budget your ring has to be beautiful! It does not have to be costly though, but it's best to pick something that will be guaranteed to last as long as your partnership.
You might want to consider a simple yet beautiful band from our very own collection including:
A sturdy band to hold up the weight of your partnership and strong like Atlas himself.
The ring to write the tale of your love and hold it close to your heart for all eternity.
A simple black band that is strong and robust like any good relationship!
An embodiment of the wild through a simple wooden band.
Skip on Buying an Expensive Dress or Suit
You can still have a beautiful wedding even without a dress or suit which costs thousands of dollars. The scale on which you judge something to be ‘pretty’ or ‘handsome’ should not be defined by how much it cost.
Go second-hand shopping to look for some good deals on suits or dresses. Maybe you find some materials and you decide to make it yourself! You can even take an old plain outfit and spice it up with some new additions.
You have a plain black dress from an old wedding you attended once? Have a go at tying some ribbons to it or even beads. If you like flowers add lots of them! And for your hair, there are loads of ways to have fun with that too.
For those wearing suits, you can often find oversized suits in secondhand shops. Get these taken into your own size and then you can decorate them. Get fun shoes, socks, lapel pins, cufflinks, and ties or bowties. You could even try to match with your bride!
Foodwise, it is best to avoid hiring a catering service to stick to a budget. You will have more work to prep for the day, but you will have more say in the final details and decorations. Instead, tell guests to bring a potluck with a BYO on drinks, and you can supply the cake with nibbles.
You could have fun with how food is catered at your event and you could even use it to strengthen your wedding theme. For instance, with a pirate wedding, the drinks on offer would be rum and served in pirate-themed holders. Nibbles could be chocolate coins in a treasure chest and there could even be a treasure hunt for the children to find dessert!
It's not too hard to create a beautiful wedding that fits a tight budget. It is just about making a plan of how you want to spend and finding the things which will make your wedding day a magical one.
